Communication Assessment and Treatment

- SOCIAL COMMUNICATION - Social communication skill building for life participation (e.g., perspective and turn taking, conversational skills, relationship and dating etiquette, managing arguments and disagreements, education of communication partners (e.g., brain injury, neurodivergence, cognitive impairment)

- VOICE - chronic cough, muscle tension dysphonia, presbyphonia/aging voice, paradoxical vocal cord movement, neurological and progressive neurological voice changes (e.g., Parkinsons Disease)

- SPEAK OUT!®, LSVT® LOUD programmes

-LANGUAGE - Understanding spoken and written information and being able to express ideas

- (e.g, aphasia, primary progressive aphasia),

COGNITIVE- COMMUNICATION - Word finding, recalling and processing complex information, attending to and understanding complex information, planning and scheduling thoughts and information.

HEALTHY COMMUNICATION MAINTENANCE- provision of individual programmes to help you maintain your communication skills and confidence as your communication system changes due to normal age-related changes (e.g., word finding strategies, voice strengthening exercises.

Swallowing Assessment and Treatment

Assessment and provision of evidence based treatment for a range of chewing and swallowing concerns (or dysphagia/" dys-fay-gee-ah")

(e.g, coughing on liquids, food getting stuck in throat, weight loss, eating slowly, difficulty chewing, food particles remaining in mouth, chest infections)
